You now leave the capital wall

For river shores where mist veils all.

On parting, I feel sad at heart:

Our hometowns are so far apart.

If you’ve on earth a bosom friend,

He is near tho’ at the world’s end.

At crossroads where we say adieu

Do not shed tears like women do.
